What are Blackheads

Blackheads are nothing but clogged pores. They generally appear on an oily skin. On combination skin, they appear on the nose. Unclean skin is a breeding ground for blackheads. They are a mixture of dead cells of the skin, oil and bacteria. When they come into contact with the atmospheric oxygen, a chemical reaction takes place and the mixture darkens to form blackheads.
